at the edge.

Now that it's all said and done,
I can't believe you were the one
To build me up and tear me down,
Like an old abandoned house.
What you said when you left
Just left me cold and out of breath.
I fell too far, was in way too deep.
Guess I let you get the best of me.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

You took a hammer to these walls,
Dragged the memories down the hall,
Packed your bags and walked away.
There was nothing I could say.
And when you slammed the front door shut,
A lot of others opened up,
So did my eyes so I could see
That you never were the best for me.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.

Well, I never saw it coming.
I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
I'm spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
Well I'm putting my heart back together,
'Cause I got over you.
Well I got over you.
I got over you.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

Long time since i've ever posted something. Guess only when i'm affected badly will i blog it down. Ha.

Have been thinking a lot these days. Sometimes i feel i think too much, but thats just me. This song really applies to my life right now, it just relates so well. sometimes, life is just like a box of chocolates. you're never know what you're gonna get. i'm having the bitter one for now. Time will tell, so i shall be patient.

Still undergoing hell week for school, hope all is well after this week. wednesday.

Step one you need to get a cake

And pour some choco syrup on it quick

then you spread it with a knife

using golden state whip light cream.

make a pattern with some nuts

add some collon right on top

and there you go, you have a cake

but it isnt completed yet

Trip to Cambodia

Busy Week, all started from 14th June 2007 for 5 days, to 19th June. Guess this was a much happening trip and i would say, probably one of the more enriching trips that i've been in for. Being in Phonm Penh ( Captial of Cambodia) for just merely 5 fays, I can somewhat tell of the life the locals there face, each and everyday. For Singaporeans like us, i would very much want to emphasise this word "Lucky". You might think this is the most typical word used to sterotype Singaporeans compared to the Cambodians but, i can tell you, its really different there, as compared to here. They lead simple lifes, and stay happy. Its really through God's grace and blessings that allows us to be who we are, and what kind of environment we are being born into. So, lets see some pictures...

Day 1

Meeting at the airport.

All ready and On the flight...

Mr Kelvin Cheong says HI.

view of luggage pickup points.
Phomh Penh's airport is smaller than T1.

Upon arrival, Bus Brings us to our lodging location.
Look at everyone's excited face.

Day 2

Basically Day 2 was about going around the neighbourhood, to in short, try and evangelise, by asking youths to join us in Day 3's dinner to fellowship.

Top view from the church, introducing the streets of Phomh Penh.

Roads are made of crushed stones, embraced by a long row of what we call LRB (low rised buildings) haha!

Breakfast for Day 2 - Char Siew Rice (best manually roasted char siew i have ever tasted, also my favourite dish i've eaten there)

'beach' volleyball courts can be seen in urban areas.

A2 and A4, walking around the neighbourhood...

Coconut seller with his coconuts. each priced at abt 40cents Sing.

'WOW' .. this guy is something...

locals invited us into their houses. Cambodians are very opened people i would say.

Intresting. Eye Clinic. Hmm..

Cambodia version of a roadside 'MAMA' shop.

DAELIM 100cc 2-stroke motorbike.

Here we see a cross junction of the roads. (note : there are no traffic lights.)

Road near the market. Overlooks some 'bigger' houses around..

Roadside market.. pollution was really bad there...

Classic. Boys as young as 4 goes around collecting empty tin cans.
looks really pitiful. The ground was like so scorching hot..

the famous Tuk-tuk, but powered by a motorbike..

Wasnt much going on in day 2 after that.
Back view of trip tee !

Day 3

On Day 3, we visited a local chinese school, to interract with the targeted youths there. The school was located like in the middle of a market. Quite weird but intresting. some shots for you below.

Yu Hua School..

top view of what a centralised marketplace looks like.

obviously the pork seller,

seafood,

chicken, and vege sellers.

sharing with local chinese students...

Their multi-purpose exercise book. nice colour. haha..

Welcome to the Tong Sleng Museum.

I also dont know what this means. so..

'Security of Regulation' for the prisoners.

Sounds really sucky.

Some pictures from the genocide museum.
Enjoy!

Objects used to torment the prisoners.. cruel.

Electric chair.

Spooky. What known as 'Spritual Orbs' can be seen. at the cell area.
100% confirm it wasnt on my camera's LCD when i took i this..

shows 2 cells. 4-5 prisoners were kept in 1 small cell like that.. HOW ?

Long row of cell chambers....

Torture device. Put water in and chain the limbs with head in water.

Chain the limbs, water the face till victim dies of drowning while not submerged in water.
Used for interrogation most of the time..

shows skull of a victim, head shot 45degress from top back.

Shrine for victims of the khmer rouge genocide incident.

Dinner at the church. we invited much people, targeting youths, to have fellowship there.

Apparently some of them got really high.. look at Ben.

Day 4

On our way to mekong river. HIGHNESS on board.

Here we are at the river bank..

And there we are in the boat.. and what the hell is TL doing.

One word : NICE.

So our journey starts...

Back on shore.. locals grown-up men playing 'CHAPTEH' . ????
but must admit, they are so good, they only use their sole to kick from the back..

Through God's grace, dark clouds comes RIGHT after we were back at shore.
AMEN. haha..

Next, we move on to our ' SUPER-HIGHCLASS-RESTAURANT' to have our dinner, priced at 2-3 USD each. ( Thats a lot of money there..)

Caught this idiotic guy throwing toothpicks at me. Look at his face. -.-''

Day 5

Shop-a-lot-day
Its was the Empress's birthday on this day, so it was a public Holiday for everyone..

Back to the Palace again.

This girl followed me for almost 100 metres, just to ask for money. poor thing sia..

Next, we come to the SHOPPING CENTRE. look at that. its not air-conditioned.

Insects. from cockroaches to grasshoppers to big hairy spiders. All deep-fried. Not for the weak at heart. ahahhaha...

After some shopping, we headed to some chinese restaurant to have lunch. It was quite an expensive place to eat from what i heard..

Next stop, Russion Market.

Wondered what this was for ?

For this. Waffles.

Day 6

Back to Singapore. whoo.

We will miss Cambodia.
